Jennifer Aniston was born on February 11, 1969 in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California. She grew up in New York City. Both of her parents were actors.
Her father, John Aniston, is a Greek American born in Crete, Greece. Some of the soap operas he has played in include: Days of Our Lives, Love of Life and Search for Tomorrow. Her mum was born in New York City. Aniston has two step-brothers, John Melick and Alex Aniston.
Jennifer lived in Greece for a year when she was a child, but then she moved with her parents to New York City. She went to the New York Rudolf Steiner School and graduated from Manhattan's Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.
Jennifer did not have a great start in her career. She worked in Off Broadway production. She needed to earn money, since she had an economic struggle, and she did that with part-time jobs and even working as a telemarketer and bike messenger. In 1989, she moved to Los Angeles, California.
Aniston moved to Hollywood and was acted in her first television role in 1990. She also co-starred in Ferris Bueller. The show was a hit but unfortunately of Jennifer it was quickly canceled. Aniston was unlucky with her career since she appeared in another two failed television comedy shows. She was a guest in a few shows like Quantum Leap, Herman's Head, and Burke' Law. Jennifer was helpless. She was in so many unsuccessful shows land films that she considered that she should give up acting. When she was ready to lose hope, a miracle happened. She audition to what was to be one of the best shows of all time, friends.
Friends is a sitcom starring 6 friends in new york city. They all live in the same building. Friends did great and lasted for 10 years.
Originally the producers thought that Aniston would be better to audition for Monica Geller, which was played by Courtney Cox, but she managed to make them believe that she was better for the role of Rachel Green. I think it was one of the best decisions they ever made because she did an excellent job.
The program was extremely successful. The hairstyle she had during the series, which was known as the "Rachel", was widely copied. Aniston was paid one million dollars for episode on the last two seasons of Friends. That means she got over 42 million dollars just for those two seasons! She won five Emmy nominations (two for Supporting Actress, three for Lead Actress) and won the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy.
She married Pitt on July 29, 2000. Their marriage was considered a success. Pitt showing up to the Ocean's Twelve premiere without Aniston created rumors that their relationship was not very good. On January 7, 2005 they announced their separation.
She has appeared in many film like Rumor has it nad the break up.
